Roma coach Daniele De Rossi admitted his team’s second half was disappointing as they were held to a stoppage-time equaliser by Genoa, meaning they missed out on their first win of the season.
Roma took the lead in the first half through Artem Dovbyk, but in stoppage time 90+6 Genoa equalised through Kony de Winter to deny the Giallorossi their first win of the Serie A season as they drew their third game.
“We controlled the game in the first half, then in the second half we dropped too deep. When we tried to counter-attack, we made too many technical mistakes, which gave the opponent more confidence.”
